Kate Nash has released a studio cover of Sinéad O'Connor's "Famine" after premiering the cover last month at a sold-out Roundhouse show in London.
The cover includes an original verse written by Nash and features her playing the tin whistle - the first instrument she ever learnt.
"Famine," a track from O'Connor's 1994 album Universal Mother, addressed the Great Hunger through a blend of spoken word and hip-hop.
"I strongly agree that education is a crucial step towards peace. I would not be the artist I am today without Sinéad's perspective, her bravery and sensitivity. My intention is to honor her voice and continue to spread her message," Nash says.
