Megan Thee Stallion Reveals She's Leaving 'Moulin Rouge!' Cast Early

Hip-hop superstar Megan Thee Stallion recently took to Instagram to reveal she will be leaving the cast of Broadway's Moulin Rouge! The Musical after her performance on Friday, May 1.

"Hotties, my last performance as Zidler in @moulinrougebway will be May 1," Megan captioned her post, which featured photos of herself meeting fans at the stage door after performances and posing with castmates and special guests. "It's been such an honor to be part of thee Moulin Rouge family and I've met so many amazing people in this theater!"

Megan also thanked the Broadway crew for "[making] the experience so meaningful" and commended them on their dedication and work ethic.

"And to all the Hotties that showed up or planned to attend, thank you for supporting me during this incredible journey! I LOVE YALL See you soon," Megan wrote, thanking her fans.

Megan made her Broadway debut as Zidler in Moulin Rouge on March 24, becoming the first woman to every play the role in a production of the show.

Megan, who was originally scheduled to perform in the show through May 17, has not provided any reason to her early exit from the show.

Her run in the show had been marred with complications, including illness, reportedly due to "extreme exhaustion and dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels" as well as her recent breakup with boyfriend Klay Thompson.
