Kodak Black Arrested In Florida In Alleged MDMA Trafficking Case

Rapper Kodak Black was arrested in Orange County, Florida, on Wednesday, May 6, in connection with an alleged MDMA trafficking case.

The rapper, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was booked by the Orange County Sheriff's Office at 10:26 p.m. after being arrested earlier that evening at 9:04 p.m., according to an arrest affidavit. The document lists the arrest location as 3855 S. John Young Parkway in Orlando.

Kapri has been charged with trafficking between 10 and 200 grams of MDMA. The arrest paperwork also states that he is being held without bond.

According to Rolling Stone, Orlando Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired near 910 Fairvilla Road, leading them to search cars near the scene.

An officer spotted a white substance on a $100 bill inside a Lamborghini, which smelt of cannabis, giving the officer probable cause to search the car.

"Following further investigation and laboratory results confirming the presence of MDMA in an amount exceeding the trafficking threshold, probable cause was established," a rep for the police department said.

They added, "The Orlando Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Bill Kapri on a charge of Trafficking in MDMA (14 grams or more, less than 200 grams). On May 6, 2026, Bill Kapri turned himself in and is currently in custody at the Orange County jail."
