FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremonies To Feature Katy Perry, Alanis Morissette, Tyla & More

The FIFA World Cup opening ceremonies are set to feature performances by Katy Perry, Alanis Morissette, Tyla and more.

The FIFA World Cup kicks off next month in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. FIFA has announced three separate opening ceremonies for the first games held in each country.

Perry will perform at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on June 12 before the first World Cup game in the United States. Rappers Future, Lisa and Tyla, singer Anitta, singer/rapper Rema and DJ Sanjoy will also be part of the ceremony before the U.S.A plays Paraguay.

The opening match between Mexico and South Africa will take place on June 11 in Mexico City. The opening ceremony will feature performances from Maná, Los Ángeles Azules, Belinda, and Alejandro Fernández. Representing South Africa at the event will be Tyla, whose sophomore album A*Pop is set to arrive this summer.

Lastly, the opening ceremony for Canada's first match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto on June 12 will feature performances from Canadian artists Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, and Alessia Cara.
