Blondie's Debbie Harry & Pamela Anderson To Star As Mother & Daughter In New Comedy

Blondie lead vocalist Debbie Harry and Pamela Anderson will star as mother and daughter in new indie comedy film, Maitreya.

The film follows a rising star in the New Age healing community, who brings her estranged family to a conference to test her healing theories, all while secretly gathering material for her next book.

Anderson plays the title character, Maitreya. While preparing for the conference in India, she learns her father is dying. Instead of staying home, she takes her dysfunctional family to the conference to test her healing theories and gather material for a new book.

Harry plays the role of Maitreya's mother, Barbara. The 80 year-old punk/new wave singer, who has acted in dozens of films, has been off the big screen for more than a decade.

Jonathan Krisel is directing the film based on Samuel D. Hunter's script. The film's producer Caviar plans to launch the production later this year.
