DaBaby's "Pop Dat Thang" has advanced to the top spot on the Billboard's Hot Rap Songs chart dated May 16, earning the rapper his first No. 1 on the list in six years.
"Pop Dat Thang," released on SouthCoast/Interscope/Interscope Capitol, takes the place of Don Toliver's "E85," which slipped to No. 2 after reigning at No. 1 for 11 consecutive weeks.
DaBaby previously topped the Hot Rap Songs chart with "Rockstar," featuring Roody Ricch. The song stayed atop the chart for nine weeks in June - August 2020.
"Pop Dat Thang" registered 8 million official streams (up 24%), 20.1 million in radio airplay audience impressions (up 7%) and a negligible amount of track sales in the United States for the tracking week of May 1-7, according to Luminate.
Streaming gains, particularly, trace to a boost from the first week impact of a high-profile remix that added featured verses from GloRilla, Yung Miami and YKNIECE.
