Shinedown has earned a record-extending 23rd No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart, with their "Safe and Sound" topping the list dated May 30.
"Safe and Sound" is from Shinedown's new studio album, Eight, which arrived on Friday, May 29. It is the fourth song from the record to reach No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay, following "Searchlight" "Killing Fields" and "Dance, Kid, Dance."
"Safe and Sound" also leaps 9-6 on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 3.5 million audience impressions in the week ending May 21, up 9%, according to Luminate.
