C4 Therapeutics' Cemsidomide: A Foundational Treatment Across Multiple Lines Of Multiple Myeloma?

Multiple myeloma is a cancer that affects plasma cells, a type of white blood cell responsible for producing antibodies that help the body fight infections. Immunomodulatory drugs like Revlimid (lenalidomide) and Pomalyst (pomalidomide) are a cornerstone of treatment for multiple myeloma. They work by degrading the proteins IKZF1 and IKZF3 - required for cancer cell growth and survival in multiple myeloma. There remains a high unmet medical need for therapies to treat relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.

The company we are profiling today is C4 Therapeutics Inc. (CCCC), which is developing a next-generation IKZF1/3 degrader with potential to be a foundational treatment across multiple lines of multiple myeloma.
