Grammy Award-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer Shawn Mendes celebrated the 10th anniversary of his seminal single "Treat You Better" with the release of a new limited-edition 7" inch vinyl via Blood Records.
The album features the original recording of the track on Side A as well as a previously unreleased Live From New York version on Side B. The vinyl nods to the cover art for his 2016 Illuminate album.
Treat You Better and the accompanying "Treat You Better (Live From New York)" have arrived on all DSPs. Mendes also dropped the official performance video on his YouTube channel.
Shawn reflected on "Treat You Better" with a heartfelt social media post. Of the release, he wrote, "10 years of Treat you better. I love you guys. Thank you. Treat You Better (Live From New York) song and video are out now!"
"Treat You Better" first made its introduction on June 3, 2016, achieving 7x-Platinum certification from the RIAA, and approaching 5 billion streams and counting, with the music video almost at 3 billion views alone. It paved the way for Illuminate, which bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and went 2x-Platinum.
