Sturgill Simpson Shares Alter Ego Johnny Blue Skies' 'Mutiny After Midnight' On Streaming

Sturgill Simpson's alter ego Johnny Blue Skies and his band, The Dark Clouds, have shared an expanded edition of their new album, Mutiny After Midnight, on all streaming platforms.

Following its physical-only release on March 13, which made a historic debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, No. 1 on Top Album Sales, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Vinyl Albums and Indie Store Album Sales, Mutiny After Midnight was called "an instant contender for album of the year."

Available on all digital platforms, Mutiny After Midnight now features the record's nine original songs alongside Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds' renditions of Eddie Murphy's "Party All The Time," and both William Bell's "You Don't Miss Your Water" and Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale."

Fans will be able to experience the album live for the first time on Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds' upcoming tour, Mutiny For The Masses. Spanning 29 dates across North America, Mutiny For The Masses will kick off at Austin's Moody Center on September 4.
