Universal Pictures announced earlier this week that the Snoop Dogg biopic, Snoop, will arrive in theaters on August 6, 2027.
According to a press release the film is the "definitive biopic" of Snoop Dogg (born Calvin Broadus). "Outer Banks" star Jonathan Daviss will portray the legendary rapper in the biopic, which will be directed by Hustle & Flow's Craig Brewer.

It's not yet known if the biopic will focus on a specific era of the iconic musician's career or chronicle his entire life.
"After my brothers got to tell their story with Straight Outta Compton, now it's my turn," Snoop Dogg had told the audience at CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April. "My director, Craig Brewer, he just showed us how hard it is out here for a pimp from Hustle & Flow. And then last year, he got us all singing 'Sweet Caroline,'" he added, referencing the Brewer-directed Song Sung Blue.
The biopic, which will be produced by Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer, Snoop Dogg and Death Row Pictures President Sara Ramaker, will incorporate music from Snoop's massive catalog.
