The Bangles' Susanna Hoffs Reunites With Rufus Wainwright On 'Bad Case Of Loneliness'

Before releasing her new album of all original music, The List, on September 18, The Bangles' Susanna Hoffs has shared a final preview with "Bad Case of Loneliness."

Reuniting with Rufus Wainwright on vocals, "Bad Case of Loneliness" was born from a frank confession about how a person can feel even lonelier when they are not alone.

Written by Susanna Hoffs with CJ Camerieri and Ryan Lerman, the song is described as a deeply human reflection on vulnerability and acceptance, backed by an all-star band of pedal steel legend Greg Leisz, as well as Ryan Lerman (guitar), Spencer Zahn (bass), Benny Bock (Udo) and JT Bates (drums).

"My first ever big arena concert was the Bangles back in the 80s and I remember it crystal clear," says Wainwright. "To be able to sing with Susanna now is such a joy, plus the top of a mythic ladder I started building then as a kid. Thrilling."

Across The List, the Bangles co-founder is joined by Rufus Wainwright, Dan Wilson, Edie Brickell, Greg Leisz, Ryan Lerman, Desure, Jesse Harris, Ny Oh, Grant Milliken, Spencer Zahn, Larry Goldings and others, channeling her sense of humor, keen powers of observation and eye for detail into moving statements of love and longing, loss and resilience, loneliness and limbo, reinvention and self-discovery.

Ahead of the album release, Hoffs and her band - CJ Camerieri, Ryan Lerman, Spencer Zahn, JT Bates - will begin sharing The List's songs and stories on tour throughout the U.S. this month. Dates include a sold-out, five-night residency at New York City's legendary Café Carlyle, festival appearances, shows with Billy Idol and more.
