Tennessee Volunteers To Honor Dolly Parton With Helmet Decal

The Tennessee Volunteers football team is set to honor late country music icon Dolly Parton throughout the 2026 season with a commemorative helmet sticker.

The University of Tennessee confirmed that players will wear an orange butterfly sticker, outlined in white and featuring Parton's signature "Dolly" logo, for every game this season.

Head coach Josh Heupel praised Parton's impact on Tennessee and her strong connection to East Tennessee, calling her a figure who was extremely proud of her roots and gave generously to others.

Parton had a longstanding relationship with the university. She delivered the commencement address in 2009 and received an honorary doctorate of Humane and Musical Letters. She also performed on campus in 2011 and 2014.

The Volunteers will begin their 2026 season against Furman on September 5 at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville.

Parton died on August 25 at age 80.
