Computer Sciences Wins $820 Mln. Air Force Contract To Provide Range Technical Services - Quick Facts

Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) on Tuesday said it won a contract from the U.S. Air Force Space Command to provide technical services at the Air Force's Eastern Range, headquartered at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. The agreement, which has a 10-month base period and nine one-year options, is valued at about $820 million. The company stated that the contract work would be performed by Computer Sciences Raytheon, a joint venture between CSC's Applied Technology Division and Raytheon Technical Services Company.

As per the agreement, CSR would continue providing operation and maintenance services for instrumentation, communications and information systems across the Air Force Space Command's Eastern Range. Systems include radar, optical and GPS-based tracking, telemetry, range safety data processing, command destruct, meteorological systems and associated computer, communications and timing systems.

Further, the joint venture would also provide mission planning, systems analysis and remote base operations and maintenance.
