Nokia Closes Enpocket Acquisition - Update

Mobile phone manufacturer Nokia Corp. (NOK) announced on Monday that it completed the acquisition of Enpocket, a provider of mobile advertising technology. The Enpocket technology allows brands to produce and implement mobile advertising campaigns.

Nokia said the takeover is part of its plans to build the largest, high-quality advertising marketplace in the field of mobile advertising. The acquisition would form an advertising business that would help brands, publishers, telecom operators and others to carry out targeted advertising and marketing operations for mobile phone users.

NOK closed Friday's regular trade at $36.53, up $0.19, on a volume of 16.1 million shares.
