G4S (GFS.L) announced the acquisition of 85% of Progard Securitas d.o.o., a provider of professional security services in the Republic of Serbia. Through the acquisition, the company expects to achieve full national coverage in all product offerings and an enhanced regional standing.
G4S acquires Progard from Consolidated Developments Limited, which will remain a shareholder with a 15% interest.
Gross assets of the company are 5.5 million euros and it had sales of approximately 15.5 million euros in 2007.
