TASER International, Inc. (TASR), a manufacturer of electronic control devices, on Thursday announced that it has received several orders recently. The company expects to ship all orders in the second quarter of 2008.
The company received an order from Tulare County Scheriff's Department, which ordered 152 TASER X26 ECDs, 152 TASER CAM units and related accessories.
TASER also received two follow-on orders, one from the Corpus Christi Police Department for 120 TASER X26 ECDs and related accessories and the other from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for TASER related accessories.
Chief Executive Officer of TASER, Rick Smith commented, "The Tulare County Sheriff's Department joins more than 12,750 law enforcement agencies in the United States, Canada and more than 40 other countries worldwide in deploying TASER ECDs."
TASER International's stock is currently trading at $5.47, down 4 cents or 0.69%.
