United States Steel Corp. (X) said that it has elected David Sutherland to its board, effective today, to serve as a Class II director until the next annual meeting of stockholders, which is expected to be held on April 28, 2009.
Sutherland is currently a board member of Gatx Corp. (GMT). He retired as president and chief executive officer of the former Ipsco Inc.
