Suspected Taliban militants beheaded two men and shot dead a third in a Pakistani lawless tribal area bordering Afghanistan, accusing them of spying on the rebels, media reports said Friday.
The bodies of three men were found dumped by the roadside at Kayrala village in the troubled Bajaur tribal district with notes saying they were spying on Taliban. Reports quoting witnesses said that two had their heads severed and the third was killed by a gunshot.
Militants have killed several tribesmen and Afghan refugees in the Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA), with most being accused of spying for U.S. forces across the border in Afghanistan.
In the last two days, fierce fighting between troops and Taliban militants left 10 soliers and 25 militants dead in Bajaur, a stronghold of Al-Qaida and Taliban militants.
Pakistan is under mounting international pressure to crack down on the militants after the U.S came up with evidence allegedly linking Pakistan's intelligence agency - the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to the Taliban.
