Monday, communication solution provider Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (CMTL) said its subsidiary Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp. was awarded $24.7 million orders under the IDIQ contract with U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command or CECOM.
The Melville, New York-based company's subsidiary in Maryland will supply both its Model MT-2011 Mobile Satellite Ground and Aviation Data Transceivers to the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below - Blue Force Tracking - FBCB2-BFT program, a battle command real-time situational awareness and control system under the $24.7 million order.
Fred Kornberg, President and CEO, Comtech Telecommunications said that the orders highlight the critical role played by company's satellite transceivers and looked forward to its continued involvement in the FBCB2-BFT Program, as well as other critical programs for the Department of Defense.
Comtech Telecommunications is currently trading at $46.89, down $1.46 or 3.02% on the Nasdaq.
