Quest Software Inc. (QSFT) announced that it has appointed Doug Garn as its chief executive officer.
Garn, who was also appointed to the company's board of directors, will continue in his role as president. He joined Quest in 1998 and has served as the company's president since February 2005. Prior to that, he served as Quest's vice president of worldwide sales.
The company has also announced that Vinny Smith has been appointed to the newly created full-time position of executive chairman of the company's board of directors. Smith joined Quest as a director in 1995 and was appointed chief executive officer in 1997. In 1998, he was appointed chairman of Quest's board of directors.
