Police and Federal agents arrested more than 60 members of a Mongols motorcycle gang Tuesday in a sweep across seven states in the United States. The gang was allegedly involved in cases of murder, narcotics trafficking, weapons violations, money laundering, and hate-crimes.
Federal agents said that they raided four homes related to the gang in Oregon and Washington. During the raids 120 firearms, more than 42 motorcycles, and $130,000 in cash were confiscated.
Arrests included the former national president of the Mongols, chapter presidents, and other high-ranking members of the group. The project dubbed as Black Rain, was a part of a three-year investigation that included undercover operations including agents who infiltrated the Mongols to investigate the crimes.
