Wednesday, iRobot Corp. (IRBT) reported third-quarter net income of $3.9 million or $0.15 per share, compared to a loss of $1.4 million or $0.06 per share for the same quarter last year.
On average, six analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financial expected the company to earn $0.09 per share for the quarter.
Revenue for the quarter increased 44.8% to $92.4 million from $63.8 million in the year ago quarter. Analysts expected the company to report revenue of $74.84 million for the quarter.
Looking ahead to the full year 2008, the company is increased its revenue outlook and now expects revenue in the range of $310 million-$315 million and earnings in the range of $0.08-$0.10 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.14 per share on revenue of $294.52 million for the full year.
