GE Healthcare, a division of General Electric Co. (GE), Sunday said the company plans to showcase new products in cardiovascular ultrasound, diagnostic cardiology and cardiovascular services, at the 2008 Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association in New Orleans this week.
The new ultrasound devices include Vivid E9 for true 4D heart imaging, Vivid q that adds quantitative analysis to portable excellence and intravascular ultrasound imaging probe.
The new releases from GE's Diagnostic Cardiology business includes the EMR Gateway, which delivers electrocardiogram results and patient demographic data to virtually any Electronic Medical Records system, a new electrocardiograph system in MAC 1600, Event Recording for advanced arrhythmia assessment and a new version of its ECG management system.
The Ultrasound Service team is expected to announce the availability of AcoustiCare, a package including as many as four, fully covered, transesophageal ultrasound probe repairs per year. GE's Interventional Service team for Hemodynamic & EP Recording Equipment is anticipated to unveil Proactive System Check-up & Patch Management coverage for facilities needing optimal efficiency & security.
GE closed Friday's regular trade at $18.86, up $0.52 or 2.84%, on 79 million shares. The stock dropped 2.78% in the extended trade.
