Italy's consumer price index or CPI including tobacco rose 2.7% year-on-year in November, slower than 3.5% increase recorded in October, the statistical office ISTAT said Monday. Month-on-month, the CPI declined 0.4% after being flat in October. Both annual and monthly figures for November matched preliminary estimate released on November 28.
Meanwhile, the statistical office revised its initial estimate of the harmonized consumer price index or HICP. The HICP annual growth was revised down to 2.7% from 2.8%. It was also down from 3.6% growth recorded in October.
Month-on-month, the HICP fell 0.5%, slightly faster than the 0.4% fall initially reported.
