An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted several parts of Pakistan, including the federal capital Monday, but there were no reports of loss of life or damage to property, media reports said.
According to the local met office, the quake, which had its epicenter in the Hindu Kush mountain range and occurred at about 4.15 am (11.15 pm GMT Sunday), shook Islamabad, the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), parts of Punjab province and the Northern Areas.
Earlier Sunday, an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale rocked many parts of Pakistan.
