Insurance and financial service provider American International Group, Inc. (AIG), Monday appointed Russell Johnston as President and Chief Executive Officer of AIG Environmental, a unit of AIG Commercial Insurance. Kimberly Hanna has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AIG Environmental.
Johnston assumes management responsibility from Joseph Boren, who has left the company, and will report to John Doyle, President and Chief Executive Officer of AIG Commercial Insurance. Hanna will report to Johnston.
Johnston, most recently, was the president of AIG Risk Management. Johnston joined AIG in 1990 serving in senior management positions within AIG's Risk Management Group. He has over 20-years of experience in underwriting and management with the property casualty industry.
Hanna was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of AIG Environmental. She joined AIG's Canadian operations in 1996. In 2000, she became a product line manager for AIG Environmental, and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the Environmental unit.
AIG is currently trading at $1.75, up $0.06 or 3.55%, on a volume of 14.54 million shares.
