El Paso Corp. (EP) said Wednesday that its board of directors has elected Doug Foshee as chairman following the company's annual shareholder meeting.
Foshee has held the titles of president and chief executive officer since joining the company in 2003.
Foshee's election as chairman follows the retirement of Ronald Kuehn, Jr., who had been chairman of the El Paso board since 2003.
In addition, the Board elected J. Michael Talbert to serve as lead director. Talbert, a current director and former as chairman and CEO of Transocean Ltd, has served as an El Paso director since 2003.
At today's annual shareholder meeting, all 11 nominated Directors were elected for a term of one year. Ten of El Paso's 11 directors are independent, as defined by NYSE listing requirements.
