SciSys plc (SSY.L) said that MBS, its media and broadcast division, has been awarded a framework contract with the British Broadcasting Corporation to provide Audio Editing and Playout solutions on a pan-organisational basis. It is anticipated that the value of the framework contract from 2009 to 2013 will be in the range of £10 million to £15 million.
MBS has now been selected as the sole supplier to use its dira! products to move to one single scalable, joined-up, pan-BBC solution that integrates with other systems to create a true multimedia production environment. It is intended that the Audio Editing and Playout systems will be installed across all customer's sites, both within the UK and around the rest of the world.
