Ingram Micro Names Alain Maquet President, EMEA - Update

Wednesday, technology distributor Ingram Micro Inc. (IM), announced the transition of current president of Ingram Micro Latin America, to president of Ingram Micro Europe, Middle East and Africa, or EMEA, effective July 1, 2009. Maquet would report to Alain Monie, president and chief operating officer, Ingram Micro Inc.

The Santa Ana, California-based company said Maquet replaces incumbent president of Ingram Micro EMEA, Jay Forbes, who is resigning from the company, effective June 30, 2009.

Named president of Ingram Micro Latin America in March 2005, Maquet joined Ingram Micro in 1993 as managing director of French operations. A 28-year veteran of the information technology industry, he assumed various responsibilities, eventually managing France, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the region's export business as senior vice president, southern and western Europe.

Ingram Micro noted that Maquet plans to relocate to Europe in the coming weeks and that it was looking for his replacement in Latin America.

IM is currently trading at $17.31, down $0.27 or 1.54%, on a volume of 0.34 million shares on the NYSE.
