EZCORP Inc. (EZPW) lowered its third quarter EPS forecast to between $0.29 and $0.31 after the close Thursday, from prior expectations of $0.34. The company also reduced its fourth quarter EPS guidance to between $0.41 and $0.43, from previous expectations of $0.46 to $0.48. EZCORP's full year 2009 EPS guidance was also reduced to 1.40 and $1.44, from prior guidance of $1.50 to $1.52.
EZCORP Inc. gapped down sharply Friday and declined during the first 45 minutes of trade. Shares finished lower by $1.90 at $10.99 on the highest volume of the year. The stock dropped to a 2 1/2 month low and fell below its 50-day moving average.
