Aircraft modernization and maintenance service provider L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. (LLL) Monday said its MPRI division has been awarded a follow-on contract to provide certain advisory and assistance services by the U.S. Air Forces Europe.
The IDIQ contract, having a value in total of about $375 million, extends to a period of five-years including one base year and four option year.
The current deal is on top of the five year, $47.8 million follow-on contract awarded to L-3's Command and Control Systems and Software division, earlier this month, by the US Navy. The contract was for supporting Navy's Aircraft Structural Surveillance program.
As per the current contract, L-3 would support US Air forces Europe with engineering and technical service as well as with management and professional support. L-3 would also study, analyze and evaluate services to maintain and enhance government owned computer software, while providing intelligence analysis support.
L-3 also said that it has received first two task orders under the contract, valued at $14.4 million, to provide A&AS services to the Joint Intelligence Operations Center-Europe Analytic Center in the United Kingdom and at the Warrior Preparation Center in Germany.
LLL is currently trading at $69.39, up $0.34 or 0.49%, on the NYSE.
