Finland and Sweden have simultaneously handed in their official letters of application to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Finnish Ambassador to NATO Klaus Korhonen and Swedish Ambassador to NATO Axel Wernhoff presented their government's letters to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the Alliance's Brussels headquarters on Wednesday morning.
