US Presses Mexico To Deliver Sufficient Water To Texas

The United States has pressed Mexico to supply the maximum possible deliveries of water to Texas users under the 1944 Water Treaty.

Senior Administration officials from the Department of State, Department of Agriculture, and U.S. International Boundary and Water Commission met with Mexican counterparts to discuss immediate and concrete steps Mexico would take to reduce shortfalls in water deliveries and ensure compliance with the 1944 Water Treaty.
