Israel's manufacturing production increased at a faster pace in October, data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Monday.

Manufacturing production increased a seasonally adjusted 2.5 percent on a monthly basis in October, faster than the 0.8 percent growth recorded in September. In August, factory output dropped 0.2 percent month-on-month.

Separately, the agency said Israel's import price index, excluding ships and aircraft, increased 0.4 percent quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter, sharply slower than the 6.3 percent growth recorded in the second quarter. Meanwhile, the export price index dropped 1.1 percent sequentially, reversing the previous quarter's 1 percent increase.

Import prices, excluding ships, aircraft, fuels and diamonds, decreased 0.6 percent from the previous quarter, while export prices, excluding ships, aircraft, fuels and diamonds, rose 1.5 percent in the three-month period.
