American Apparel Opens New Store In South Korea

Los Angeles-based clothing maker American Apparel, Inc. (APP: Quote) said Friday that it has opened a new store in Busan, South Korea.

The 2312 sq ft store, which opened January 2 , is located in the Busanjin-gu district in Busan , the second largest city in South Korea . Known for its shopping and entertainment venues such as UNIQLO, Nike and Apple, Busanjin-gu is an ideal location to reach out to fashionable urban dwellers.

The Busan store will be the first opened by American Apparel in South Korea since 2008. It joins four other Korean locations, all located in Seoul.

The Swiss National Bank on Thursday said it will retain the currency ceiling at CHF 1.2 per euro as risks to the economy from external developments remains high. The target range for the three-month Libor was also left unchanged at 0.0-0.25 percent. The decision was in line with economists' forecast. King will step down by end-June after ten years at the helm. Carney will assume office from July 1.
