Taylor Capital Group Inc. (TAYC) posted a fourth-quarter profit, compared to a loss posted in the same period last year.
Net income applicable to common stockholders was $70.1 million or $3.20 per share, compared to a net loss of $48.1 million or $2.76 per share in the prior year quarter.
On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report loss of $0.18 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Net interest income rose to $35.27 million from $33.56 million a year ago, while total non-interest income dropped to $16.5 million from $18.0 million in the comparable quarter last year.
