Mary J. Blige is writing a new song for the upcoming documentary, The Invisible War.
Blige, along with the film's producer, Amy Ziering, dished the news while at the Sundance film festival.
The doc focuses on the phenomenon of sexual assault in the military, following the stories of male and female victims of rape and their travails in attempting to seek justice for their attackers.
Blige recently wrote the Golden Globe-nominated track "The Living Proof" for the film, The Help; however, she hit Twitter this week to complain that the track had been snubbed out of an Oscar nod:
"It saddens me & feels like the Academy is being mean. To only nominate 2 of the 5 slots is . . ."
The category in question, Best Song, only received two nominations; typically, four or five songs are nominated.
