(RTTNews) - Aquarius Platinum Ltd. (AQP.L: News ,AQP.AX: News ) Tuesday said second-quarter attributable production dropped 17 percent to 105.6 thousand PGM ounces from last year's 127.6 thousand PGM ounces. Production at the Kroondal Mine fell 27 percent to 43.4 thousand PGM ounces, with Everest mine also registering a 26 percent decline in production to 18.7 thousand PGM Ounces.
Production of Platinum Group Metals, or PGMs, was 189.2 thousand ounces in the recent quarter, compared to 230.0 ounces a year ago. Further, weighted average basket price per PGM ounce also slid 9 percent to $1,272 from $1, 405 a year ago, the company noted.
