Nicki Minaj's "Stupid H**" video has been banned from BET.
The network has not specified why it is not airing the "Super Bass" singer's latest offering, which was directed by Hype Williams and features colorful graphics, sexually explicit lyrics and almost-nude women. However, sources at the network have unofficially stated that the video is too explicit for television.
The video originally aired online on VEVO on January 20, with Minaj noting: "Can't premiere on a network b/c its important that my art is not tampered with, or compromised prior to you viewing it for the 1st time." She also added on Twitter that the video will continue to air on MTV Jams.
"Stupid H**" is taken from Minaj's upcoming album, Roman Reloaded, whose release date has been pushed back from February 14 to April 3.
