IAG January Traffic Up 1.1% - Quick Facts

International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (BAY.L,BAIRY.PK,IAG.L), or IAG, announced a 1.1 percent increase in group traffic in January 2012, while its capacity, measured in available seat kilometers declined 1.5 percent.

Traffic for the month increased 1.1 percent to 13.09 billion revenue passenger kilometers or RPKs from 12.95 billion RPKs last year.

Capacity for the month was down 1.5 percentage at 17.30 billion Available Seat kilometers.

Passenger Load factor for the month increased 2.0 percent to 75.7 percent from 73.7 percent last year.

IAG said that it plans to integrate bmi mainline into British Airways, subject to receiving regulatory approval for the acquisition. British Airways has announced that it will resume flights to Tripoli from May 1st, 2012.
