Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. said its subsidiary Europcar Information Services signed a multi-year, multi-million euro contract with Europcar, the car rental leader in Europe, to manage strategic IT Services development for its French operations.
This announcement marks further expansion into Europe for TCS' Travel, Transport & Hospitality Industry Solutions Unit. Comprising 4,000 plus consultants the unit works with 50+ customers worldwide including some of the global top 10 industry leaders in airline, hospitality, car rentals, shipping and logistics.TCS operates in France since 1992, with offices in Paris - La Defense and in Toulouse. The unit comprises over 1000 professionals based both in France and at the company's delivery centers worldwide.
Europcar Information Services Skill Center Director Pascal Vallerent said, "The objective of the partnership is to continue to improve our structured and standardized development process across Europcar. TCS' localization strategy with mixed teams at all levels also proved to be a key factor in the selection process."

It reiterates TCS' strategic commitment to the region and our ability to create operating models specific to the unique needs of our French clients."
At the BSE, Tata Consultancy closed Monday's trading at Rs.1,191.95, up by 2.04 percent from the previous close.
