Earnings Watch For February 21 (DELL, HD, WMT, INTU, KFT, MDT)

PC maker Dell Inc. (DELL) is due to report results for the fourth quarter. The company is expected to record a profit of $0.52 per share on revenues of $15.96 billion. Last year, the company earned $0.53 per share on revenues of $15.69 billion. The company's shares closed Friday's trade at $18.16. (The stock up about 3% in Q4; MA(50)- $16.24; MA(100)- $15.82; 52-wk H/L $18.33/$13.29)

Home Depot, Inc. (HD) will report its quarterly results today. The home improvement retailer is expected to report earnings of $0.42 per share on revenues of $15.50 billion for the fourth quarter. In the same quarter a year earlier, the company earned $0.36 per share on revenues of $15.13 billion. The stock closed Friday at $46.71. (The stock rose almost 29% in Q4; MA(50)- $43.34; MA(100)- $39.80; 52-wk H/L $46.72/$28.13)

Retailer Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (WMT) is scheduled to post fourth-quarter results. The company is expected to earn $1.46 per share compared to $1.34 per share last year, with revenues estimated at $124.21 billion. WMT closed Friday's session at $62.48. (The stock gained nearly 16% in Q4; MA(50)- $60.19; MA(100)- $58.21; 52-wk H/L $62.63/$48.31)

Intuit Inc. (INTU) is slated to report second-quarter results. The financial management solution provider is expected to earn $0.45 per share compared to $0.32 per share a year ago. Besides, the company is anticipated to generate revenues of $1.01 billion, an increase from last year's $878 million. On Friday, the shares closed regular trade at $57.38. (The stock up about 11% in Q2; MA(50)- $55.05; MA(100)- $53.39; 52-wk H/L $58.90/$39.87)

Kraft Foods Inc. (KFT) is expected to report results for the fourth quarter. Earnings and revenue for the quarter are expected to be $0.57 per share and $14.79 billion respectively. In the previous year, the world's second largest food company reported earnings of $0.46 per share on revenues of $13.77 billion. On the NYSE, KFT closed trade on Friday at $38.01. (The stock rose around 12% in Q4; MA(50)- $37.79; MA(100)- $36.35; 52-wk H/L $39.06/$30.43)

Medical device maker Medtronic Inc. (MDT) is due to post results for the third quarter. The company is expected to earn $0.84 per share compared to $0.86 per share last year, on revenues of $3.98 billion. The stock closed trade on Friday at $39.94. (The stock gained nearly 16% in Q3; MA(50)- $38.43; MA(100)- $36.25; 52-wk H/L $43.33/$30.18)

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (BKS), Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (CBRL), Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group (DTG), Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. (EXPD), Macy's Inc. (M), MedcoHealth Solutions Inc. (MHS) and Mylan Inc. (MYL) will also report their results today.
