Britney Spears wants to become a judge on FOX's The X-Factor, according to a source who tells US Weekly that Spears has reached out to the show's creator Simon Cowell for consideration.
The show recently fired judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger along with host Steve Jones. According to sources, Janet Jackson, is also in consideration for a spot on the judges' panel. In addition, Black Eyed Peas' Fergie is also in the running for the show, the source added.
"I couldn't comment on it," Cowell told US Weekly of potential interest from Spears and Janet Jackson. "Are we flattered that there could be interest? Yes. Other than that, there's going to be a lot of twists and turns over the next few weeks and a lot of things we're going to announce."
