Deckers Outdoor Corp. (DECK) Fell Sharply On Weak Forecast

Deckers Outdoor Corp. (DECK) reported fourth quarter net income of $3.18 per share after the bell Thursday, compared to $2.27 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $3.14. The company expects first quarter EPS to be down about 50% from the prior year results and full year 2012 EPS is expected to be flat with the 2011 result.

Deckers Outdoor gapped open sharply lower Friday and declined further during the final 90 minutes of the afternoon. Shares finished down by 12.49 at $77.72 on the highest volume of the year. The stock fell to over a month and a half low and dropped below its 50-day moving average.
