Slash has released the lead single, "You're a Lie," from his second solo album Apocalyptic Love. The track hit airwaves on Monday, February 27. He has also posted online a behind-the-scenes web series called Slash in the Studio.
The new album features vocalist Myles Kennedy, who co-wrote all the songs with Slash, Brent Fitz on drums and bassist Todd Kerns. The album's producer is Eric Valentine, who has previously worked with Third Eye Blind, Smash Mouth and Queens Of The Stone Age.
During a recent interview with Glide magazine, Kennedy noted that he was involved in the songwriting process:
". . . it's fun because hearing the songs come together with the whole band is always kind of a big thrill, you know when you're writing and creating."
Apocalyptic Love, available through Slash's own Dik Hayd International label and is due May 22.
