Buffalo Springfield Reunion Not Coming Any Time Soon

The Buffalo Springfield reunion that once seemed likely now seems to be on the back burner.

After the band performed together at 2010's Bridge School Benefit, they embarked on a six-date theater tour of California before performing at Bonnaroo, which led many to believe Buffalo Springfield was well on its way to a reunion.

However, Neil Young recently announced that he is at work on a pair of albums with his band Crazy Horse, which would seem to leave little time for a Springfield tour.

One of the original band members Richie Furay said in a radio interview that he, too, does not see a reunion on the horizon.

"I gotta say that we probably lost a little bit of our momentum; that isn't to say it couldn't be picked up again, but I certainly don't see anything happening this year."

Furray also commented on Young's role in the halted reunion: "You know, Neil is just fickle and even though it boils down to all three of us making a decision, Young is an essential part of the mix."
