Adam Lambert is set to hit the road with Queen this summer, but reports have surfaced warning fans not to expect "a Freddie Mercury show."

A rep for the Sonisphere festival, which the band is headlining in July, said that fans with such expectation may be disappointed:

"They aren't going to get [a Mercury show], but I think the Queen songs are huge, I think they fit perfectly with the Knebworth environment . . . I think it'll be one of the best performances we've seen from a headliner, it's the only show in the world they're doing."

Lambert clarified his own position on the situation:

"The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some great songs. It's to keep the music alive for
the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of. There's no intention in my mind of replacing Freddie. That's impossible."
