Tyrese was pranked by Amber Tamblyn in a series of mistaken-identity emails.
The singer emailed Tamblyn by taking her email from a group email, thinking she was actually model Amber Rose, and asked her if she wanted to work with him on some music tracks. Tamblyn then led him on by sending him two iPhone demos.
She then corresponded with him via email over a further series of joke tracks, including "Splits," which featured lyrics such as "I'm goin' to the beach/Gonna eat some eggs/I don't give a f*** if it didn't rhyme") and "Dancefloor Etiquette."
Tamblyn explained that she was pranking Tyrese on her blog, where she wrote: "Tyrese is a very sweet guy with good intentions who made a mistake and I, being an actress and engaged to a comedian, could not help myself. Tyrese, please accept my 87% hearfelt [sic] apology for stringing you along. I think we could have made beatufiul [sic] music together."
Tyrese eventually wrote back, offering his forgiveness for the public prank.
