Power Corporation Of Canada Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

Power Corporation Of Canada (POW.TO) reported that its fourth-quarter net earnings attributable to participating shareholders rose to C$314 million or C$0.68 per share, from C$229 million or C$0.50 per share in the corresponding period of 2010.

Operating earnings attributable to participating shareholders were C$241 million or C$0.52 per share, compared with C$232 million or C$0.51 per share in the corresponding period of 2010.

The company said that its board also declared a dividend of 29 cents per share on the Participating Preferred and Subordinate Voting Shares of the Corporation, payable March 30, 2012 to shareholders of record March 23, 2012.
